Attack Fanzine

From Attack Fanzine

Out of Tune is a Finnish band that's doing it DIY all the way. The CD is released through a collective who includes members of the band (I think?) and they also have this CD available for download on their site. A statement in itself, but it doesn't stop there - the lyrics are of the political nature and are both smart and funny written.

Apparently Out of Tune has been compared to NOFX earlier and while I can hear this too from time to time it would be very misleading to compare the two bands. Out of Tune might have the same style of catchy and somewhat poppy approach to their punk here and there but overall it's a lot more aggressive and hectic, and most of all harder. With that said this lot also includes some bluesy breakdowns and even does a bit that remind me of Jimi Hendrix, just to later on double the speed and rush forward. A less spastic System of a Down perhaps? Neither System of a Down nor NOFX are favourites at camp attackfanzine.net, but Out of Tune are not too bad.

This band has been at it since 1999 and while I haven't heard anything before this I can pretty confidently claim that they've used these eight years well to develop as a unit and also find their own sound. Not all tracks are good, but the upbeat, aggressive, and somewhat manic stuff that also manages to include a whole lot of rocking rhythms and riffs get me going no doubt. Comes with nice artwork as well.
