The rich get richer,
the poor get TV
Escape the misery
into tabloid magazines
Marathons and reruns
of unreachable dreams
Distract masses from their discontent
Speech is free
only when no-one hears you
Watchdogs won't bite
the hands that feed them
Objective reporting?
More like storytelling
Only objective to serve their lords
I prefer psychotropics over TV
with them I know exactly
who's fucking with my head
Cathode ray tube opiates for the mind
to stop the idle ones from questioning
